It snowed in Nashville this weekend. It was only about an inch, but that's enough to make us gather our mismatched snow gear and head out for sledding!
We met the cousins and the kids made run after run down the hill behind our house. We knew all the snow would be gone by noon.
My nephew had a small snowboard so everyone got to take a turn on that.
The texture wasn't quite right for snowballs or snowmen, but it was good for flying!
I even got on long enough for a couple trips down the hill!
I don't think we went sledding at all the past couple years, so we made the most of this opportunity. Cold hands, thrilled kids, screams of delight and all!
Absence does make the heart grow fonder when referring to snow! ;) It makes a difference in the level of enjoyment when it goes away by melting instead of shoveling!
How fun! We haven't had any snow this year, surprisingly, but you won't hear me complaining. We didn't have any hills growing up at my parents house, so my dad would pull us around on a car hood. Not safe at all, but we had so much fun! :)
Looks like you had a great time! We just had a fresh batch of snow the last two days, so we're ready to go out in our mismatched snow gears as well. Thanks for sharing!
That looks like great fun! I'm hoping we get a nice little dusting of snow this winter for the children to play in, but the UK is so rubbish it just grinds to a halt at the merest suggestion of snow!! x
Looks like a lot of fun!! We barely got enough snow to make anything other than mushy snowballs :) Which is still fun! Thanks for linking up on Tuesday Talk! Katie www.sweetlittleonesblog.com
Fab photos Marie and the kids look as though they're loving every minute. Dread having snow in the UK as it usually means that the entire country grinds to a halt and that isn't fun at all!
So fun! The smiles on their faces are darling!
ReplyDeleteKids don't need much snow to find a reason to play and sled in it :0)
Stay warm,
Suzanne
You're right, Suzanne! A dusting and they're clamoring to head outside!
DeleteSledding seems like so much fun! So glad you guys got to enjoy the snow while it lasted :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing

Thanks, Dani! They'll remember it for awhile, I think!
DeleteAwww, what fun! We have so much of the white stuff I almost forget what kind of joy and fun can be had with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Wishing you a lovely day.

ReplyDeleteThat does sound like fun, Chelsea! I'm sure your mom was nervous. :)
DeleteFun! How awesome is sledding! My crew is anxiously awaiting snow, but I don't think that's going to happen this year for us.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard when the kids are really wanting it and it doesn't come. I don't think we'll get enough to sled again this year!
DeleteWe haven't had any snow this year, which is unusual for us. What a fun day!
ReplyDeleteThat is surprising, Lana! I pictured Seattle getting snow, for sure!
DeleteWe haven't had NEARLY as much snow this year as we normally do.....I really miss it :( Looks like you all had fun! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, we did! It's a treat when it doesn't come often. :)

ReplyDeleteHaha! That's how it is here too. This happened on a Saturday this time, but school would have normally been cancelled for sure!
DeleteOh my gosh my kids would love that! How fun! Our one little snow storm this month was not enough to sled in. Your kids are so cute :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer! Hopefully, you'll get one more chance for snow!

I think kids can find some fun in any amount of snow! :)
DeleteWe actually haven't made it sledging yet, but we have made snowmen and had lots of snow balls fights :) Might get the sledges out today!
ReplyDeleteI saw the pictures of your snow, Sara! You'll be able to really go sledding with all that!
DeleteTwo snow days in a row, that's what my kids would be envious of! This happened on a Saturday so nothing was cancelled.
